Waist beads are worn by women of many African cultures to accentuate your figure and express your sexuality. Waist beads are known to "give you shape" but scientifically, they help you monitor your size by tightening up and moving up your waist when you gain weight, and loosening up and moving down your waist when you lose weight. 

Many of us wear them just because they are cute!
